Privacy and disclaimer

Privacy policy

What is collected

The site has no accounts, forms or advertising. The hosting provider (Vercel Inc., USA) keeps standard request logs — IP address, browser, requested page — for security and troubleshooting. A “lang” cookie remembers the language you picked; the site needs it to work.

Anonymous statistics

Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics and with Umami running on our own server. Neither sets cookies or stores IP addresses: Umami identifies a visitor by a hash of the IP address and browser with a salt that changes daily, so visits cannot be linked across days. We see only aggregated figures — pages, referring sites, countries and device types.

Your rights

You can ask what data about you is processed, have it deleted or object to its processing, and complain to your data protection authority.

Disclaimer

The information on the site comes from open sources (Wikidata, Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons) and is compiled automatically. It may contain errors; the cause of abandonment is detected by an algorithm. Everything is provided “as is”, for information only.

The site does not invite anyone to visit the places on the map. Many of them are private property, restricted, military, contaminated or physically dangerous, and entering them may be illegal. You are responsible for your own safety and for following local laws and access rules.

Place names, descriptions and country labels are taken from third-party sources and do not express the site's position on political or territorial questions. For disputed territories the country is not shown.

Texts and photos belong to their authors and are used under their licenses (CC BY-SA, CC0 and the licenses listed on Wikimedia Commons). Links lead to external sites we do not control.
