History
Anisa (Ανίσα) was a town (δῆμος) of ancient Cappadocia, inhabited in Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine times. The key inscription identifying Anisa describe it as a politeuma. Although it did not control any territory outside its jurisdiction, it enjoyed internal self-government.
